Exparel is a long lasting local anesthetic which can be placed around nerves and muscles to reduce surgical site pain. In a breast augmentation, Exparel can be injected into the chest muscle and incision to eliminate pain. For a tummy tuck, Exparel is placed into the muscle, around the rib cage, and incision to reduced pain.
